Today, April 26, we held a meeting of the UPV team to study the progress in the execution of the edu4plastics project.

UPV, under the Edu4plastic Erasmus European project, collaborated with the workshop called «Circularity and industrial symbiosis strategies in the plastics industry/Estrategias de circularidad y simbiosis industrial en la industria plástica» held on April 10th, 2024 at AIJU Technological Institute, Ibi (Spain).

UPV, under Edu4plastic Erasmus European project, collaborate with the Limbo Europe company to promote circular economy for plastics.

Limbo Europe, a company from Alcoy dedicated to the innovation and distribution of ecological solutions in the funerary world, integrates in its catalog several products made from ingredients whose origin is based on the circular economy. In this company, the transformation of bioproducts from different origins is a constant. Limbo’s product portfolio includes ecological urns made from different materials, depending on which ones are used materials, according to which they acquire their functionality. For example, the Ólea urn is made from crushed olive pits, which are used instead of being agricultural waste, they become an urn with an attractive appearance. This biodegradable product, when buried with the ashes of the deceased, gradually decomposes in the soil, enriching it gradually decomposes in the soil, enriching it with nutrients and promoting the fertility of the burial site where they are buried.

On March 7th, we attended the INRS transnational project meeting held at the University of Zagreb.

The project partners are University of Timişoara (Romania), Transilvania University of Brasov (UTBV -Romania), Faculty of Environmental Protection (Slovenia), Dermol svetovanje d.o.o.(Slovenia), Università degli Studi dell’Insubria (Italy) and Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain).
